Allysen's 11th Birthday Party - February 7, 2008

We had fun having a party for Ally - she turned 11!
Here she is with her friends: from Left to Right:
Ben, Megan, Abigail, Ally, Emily, Rebecca and Mattie

Of Course - you have to have a funny face picture when you have a party!

Ally enjoying her presents!

I just love her face! She is so excited!!!

Christmas Sunday 2007

Steve with his new tie - a BYU tie and out pretty little girls in the dresses that Santa gave them.
Don't they look nice?

Here are the girls showing off their nice church dresses.

What a nice curtsy from Ally and Mattie in their new dresses from Santa.

More of Christmas time 2007 - Michael Presson

Mom's Grandson, Mike, decided to come out and spend Christmas with us. He enjoyed his time, but did not enjoy the cold :-) Mike did have a fun time playing with Bella and taking her for walks, as long as the sun was shining.

Here is Bella, staring down Mike to come out and play...Mike gave in.

Mike and Bella playing chase.

Grandma got Mike a train tie for Christmas and he proudly wore it to Church on Christmas Sunday. Doesn't he look sharp?

Christmas Day 2007

Christmas 2007 really feels like our first Christmas in our new Home. We had time to decorate, get furniture and bake some really good yummies.

Here is Grandma, handing out the gifts from Santa.
Ally with her new Black Beauty figurine.
Mattie with her new movie: Barbie Island Princess and her new books: Harry Potter and Barbie Island Princess.
The girls with their new church dresses that Santa gave them - aren't they pretty.

Santa was really good to Bella as well. She got a very BIG rawhide to chew on.
Mattie and Ally getting ready to open Family gifts.
We had a HUGE surprise for the girls - they had been wanting a Barbie Doll House and so we decided to spoil them...
It has registered in Ally's mind what it is, but Mattie thinks she is seeing things :-)
Now Mattie finally gets it - she is not seeing things but it is real!

Christmas 2007 Candy Making

Mom was bound and determined to make her Divinity - but as you can see, she failed every time. Sorry Mom, but it sure tasted good!

No 'bird poop' this Divinity wouldn't fall into spoon-fulls.

Mom and Steve concentrating on making the Divinity work - but it didn't, it even isn't the right color. Sorry!

Allysen and her friend, Emily, licking up after a batch of Fudge.

Christmas Pagent 2007

Our Ward had a wonderful Christmas pageant. Allysen and our neighbor-girl, Meghan Larsen were the angels. These costumes I got at D! - they were a little big but with some safety pins they worked just fine. Tresa Larsen, Meghan's mom, made the Helios.

Ally showing off in her Angel Gown.

Lots of Snow 2007

With all the snow, we decided that we need to get a snow thrower. Ally wanted to help her dad.

Ally and her Daddy making sure our walk way is clean and know free.

This was their 2nd time through.

Mattie wanted to get in on the act - it was cold after dusk and so she didn't stay out too long - but she had fun helping to 'throw the snow'.

December 2007

This was our second Christmas in Taylorsville, Utah. We had a great time decorating the home, inside and out. Enjoy the pictures and the snow :-)

Night picture - we had blown a fuse so the only lights on the house are on the top.

The snow was so heavy that it caused the lights to slip off the branches of the tree.

We love you Tim!!!

Daylight after a snow storm.

You can see the sun shining off the snow - this is at dusk.

The Christmas Tree in the Den.

The mantel in the Den.

Another view of the mantel in the Den. The picture of the Salt Lake Temple in gold (that Dad got in California) is no longer in our home - it fell off the wall and broke into a million pieces. We are very sad, but at least we have this picture to remind us of it.

Yet another of the mantel in the den.
This is the advent calendar that the Johnson's gave me just before Steve and I got married.

The Buffet - as you can tell Mom did not get rid of many of her Christmas decorations - oh well.

Mom found room for all of her decorations - it took us nearly 2 weeks to get everything out!

This 12 foot Christmas tree came with the house. It is lots of fun to decorate - you need a ladder to get the top half.

The top of my Baby Grand Piano.

Mom's village - Steve made it so it could be two levels.
